The video I'm watching isn't playing smoothly or hangs up for several seconds at a time. What is the problem?
BEAMcast requires that you have a good-quality high-speed Internet connection and a reasonably up-to-date computer to view videos properly. If you are using a dialup internet connection, or are sharing an Internet connection with several other computers at the same time, the speed of the connection may not be sufficient for good quality video playback.(See the What is high speed Internet FAQ for more information and a way to test the quality of your Internet connection.)

I can't watch any videos on BEAMcast. I click on the player screen and it just stays blank, or gives me an error message.
The Internet connection you are using may be firewalled. A firewall is special software or hardware installed as a security measure to prevent computer hackers from gaining unauthorized access to your computer or network.
If you have personal firewall software installed on your computer, try disabling it. If you are on a computer network, talk to the I.T. specialist who maintains your network. If none of these solutions works, contact BEAMcast technical support at (780) 701-9790 for personal assistance.
